Welcome to the Department of Media, Communications, and Visual Arts on Pace University’s Westchester campus.
In our broadly-based undergraduate program, we offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts and Journalism, allowing students to take classes in production, film, journalism, speech, media theory, new media, and writing for media. We also offer a Bachelor of Science in Art.
Our Masters of Arts degree in Media and Communication Arts further prepares students for careers in the communications industry and apply new technology in the workplace by offering advanced professional training in videography, editing, media writing, public relations, producing and advertising.
Communications is an exciting, dynamic field that has a growing demand for qualified professionals to build careers in a broad variety of industries.
Our faculty brings real-world experience directly into the communications center. They are experts in a variety of specialties including video and audio production, screenwriting, public relations, advertising, media theory, film, performance, speech and journalism. Specialized adjunct professors bring valuable knowledge of the most current trends in their fields to the coursework, and enhance your networking opportunities.
We are at the media center of the world. We offer you connections to meaningful internships in your area of interest. Our faculty cares; you will not find a faculty that is more dedicated to the success of each individual student than ours. Our classes are small; our average class size is 18 students, so you will receive the attention that ensures your success.
Our state-of-the-art Communications Center is equipped with the latest digital video and audio equipment for student use. Qualified students may join our chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications honor society.
