Courses Offered in Mathematics
MAT612-Geometric Perspectives 3 credits Primarily intended for prospective mathematics teachers, this course will present geometrical ideas from a broad viewpoint providing a background that will be useful in a high school setting. Topics covered include Euclidean geometry of plane and three-space; fundamental concepts of non-Euclidean, projective and differential geometry; and the geometry of special relativity theory. Prerequisite: Admission to MAT (education) with math concentration. Spring MAT650-Topics in Mathematics 3 credits The subject matter of this course will vary from semester to semester.
