Beyond Going Green
It’s all about the environment. Water, energy, climate, food, urbanization, resilience, justice, biodiversity, sustainability. These are some of the critical environmental issues that we face.
In response, Dyson College has established the Dyson College Institute for Sustainability and the Environment (DCISE). DCISE aims to address these issues through a variety of multidisciplinary programs including research, policy-making, education, and building greater community awareness and consensus on how to manage these issues
Led by Senior Associate Dean Richard Schlesinger, an expert in respiratory toxicology and a Fellow of the Academy of Toxicological Sciences, the Institute will function as a dynamic academic center and resource for the College and the University, as well as for external communities.
The Institute, which serves both the New York City and Pleasantville campus communities, is housed in the new Dyson Environmental House, a part of the exciting, new Dyson Environmental Center Complex, on the Pleasantville campus.
