  • March 8, 2017 – Vincent Camera – Gang Intelligence – W610 from 4:30 to 6:00PM- Mr. Camera is a retired captain of the gang intelligence division for the Westchester County Department of Correction and a national expert on gangs, terrorist groups and organized crime members. He currently serves as a Deputy Sheriff for the Westchester County Department of Public safety.

 

  • March 22, 2017 – Commissioner David Chong – White Plains Department of Public safety -W610 from 4:30 to 6:00PM -Commissioner Chong is in charge of the White Plains Department of Public Safety, which includes one of the largest police departments in Westchester County. Before serving in White Plains, Commissioner Chong served more than 20 years in the NYPD and also as the Commissioner of the Mt. Vernon Police Department, one of the most crime-ridden jurisdictions in Westchester County.

 

  • April 5, 2017 – Nilda Ricard – Fortune Society – W610 from 4:30 to 6:00PM -Ms. Ricard is the Director of the Drop-In Center. The Fortune Society aims to assist offenders in the reentry process. Fortune serves approximately 4,500 men and women annually via three primary New York City-area locations: Long Island City, the Fortune Academy (a.k.a. “the Castle”) and Castle Gardens in West Harlem. Their program models are frequently recognized, both nationally and internationally, for their quality and innovation.

 

  • April 19th – Game Show - Are You Smarter than Your Professor - W610 from 4:30 to 6:00PM– Students team up against faculty in a fast paced Jeopardy style game regarding criminal justice issue and facts. Student winners will receive gift cards.
