Test Preparation Program
The English Language Institute in New York City offers a range of English language programs in NYC for international students preparing to take tests needed to study at an American college or university.
In this course, students examine all four sections of the TOEFL iBT test in detail. You will learn invaluable test-taking strategies and will complete practice tests, followed by detailed feedback in order to improve their TOEFL test score. There are two different options:
4 hours/ week during the day; 6-7 weeks.
Can be combined with other classes to make a full course of study for students on an F1 visa.
4 hours/ week in the evening; 4 weeks.
(Note that the 4-week evening course does not satisfy the 18 hours/week requirement of F1 student visa holders studying at Pace University because a regular term for full-time students is 6 weeks (summer) and 7 weeks (soring and fall). Students studying on an F-1 visa can take the evening TOEFL course, but it will not count towards any attendance requirements for their visa. Students studying at other institutions may also enroll in the evening TOEFL course without transferring their SEVIS record; however, this course will also not count towards their attendance requirements for their F1 student visa
s at their school.)
