Presenters will include Dean Harriet Feldman (Lienhard), Assistant Vice President Robert Balthaser (Philanthropy), Associate Provost Victor Goldsmith, Director Edward Leight, and Information Associate Deanah Springer-Ishmael (Sponsored Research and Economic Development). The presentation will be held from 11:00AM-12:15PM in Room W512, on the 5th floor of the West Building. This is the Sixth Issue of FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES brought to you by Associate Provost Victor Goldsmith, Edward Leight, Director of Sponsored Research Administration, and Deanah Springer-Ishmael, Information Associate, Office of Sponsored Research and Economic Development. We are attempting to make these a regular source of sponsored research and grant program opportunities on a near weekly basis.

This week’s 34 Funding Opportunities are from the Department of Defense, Department of Education, Department of Energy, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Justice and the Environmental Protection Agency.

We obtained these by going to the Grants.gov website http://www.grants.gov and conducting a search of the past seven day’s program announcements, not all of which are included here. We also receive weekly updates from the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation List Serve which you may subscribe directly to as we do.   Other possibilities which we encourage you to explore with us include conducting searches of our proprietary grant databases, including SPIN and the Foundation Directory Online. In addition we recommend that you visit the New York State Assembly website http://www.assembly.state.ny.us/gan/20050501 for additional information on state and federal grants, foundations and organizations, and grant writing.

Pace University faculty who wish to discuss grant search opportunities are encouraged to visit our office. Mr. Edward Leight is also available on the Pleasantville campus on Thursdays between 9 am and 11 am by appointment only.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES is distributed to all those who have received grants in the last few years and to all Deans. If you know of an interested colleague, please let us know and we will be happy to add them to our list. Also, if there are particular areas of research we should be looking for, please inform us.
