NUR 299 Cross Cultural Study: Health Care Delivery Systems (3 credits)
Using a systems theory framework, this study/travel course is designed to provide awareness of how health and health care delivery are affected by culture, economics, environment, and education with emphasis on the roles of health care professional. The course involves a combination of selected readings, seminars, and on-site visitations. Orientation sessions are conducted prior to departure to familiarize the participants with the country or countries to be visited. Course offerings and sites to be announced.
