Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)

In March 2010 the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), the blue print for national health care reform, was signed into law. United Healthcare, the insurance company that underwrites the Pace student health insurance plan, is required to comply with the act. Because of this, certain benefits must be changed for the 2012-2013 school year. Most of these changes will provide enhanced coverage or services to students who participate in the plan.
