Susan Dinan is originally from Buffalo, NY and she remains a great fan of winter.  She graduated from Cornell University, and received her Ph.D. in early modern European history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She is the author ofWomen and Poor Relief in Seventeenth-Century France: The Early History of the Daughters of Charity, and editor of Women and Religion in Old and New Worlds, which has been translated into Spanish.  She has taught course in the history of the Reformation, early modern France, and the French Revolution.  She joined the Pforzheimer Honors College staff in August 2015, and before this she was director of the University Honors College at William Paterson University in New Jersey.
 
She is a proud citizen of both the US and Ireland.

Mohsen Shiri-Garakani was born and raised in Tehran, Iran where he received his undergraduate degree in physics from Tehran Polytechnic. After moving to the United States, he received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and joined Pace University in 2005. Mohsen’s research in physics focuses on foundations of quantum theory, and philosophy and history of modern physics. Since 2008 he has been a research fellow in the Center of Philosophy and the Natural Sciences in California State University, Sacramento. He has also served as the Assistant Editor for the International Journal of Theoretical Physics since 2002. Mohsen joined the Pforzheimer Honors College in Pleasantville as a Faculty Advisor in 2012. During his time as an Advisor, Mohsen created the Honors Thesis program in PLV and developed a course on Research Methodology, which he continues teaching to the Honors College students. Prior to being appointed as the Director for the Honors College in 2015, Mohsen has served as a Faculty Fellow in the Provost’s Office from 2013 to 2015. Mohsen is an avid player of Setar and Ney, two ancient musical instruments of Persian classical music. He keeps a keen interest in Persian poetry and Sufi philosophy.

Kellie VanWort was born and raised in Rockland County, New York. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pace University where she majored in Applied Psychology. While an undergraduate student at Pace, Kellie was a part of the following honors societies: Lambda Sigma, Alpha Chi, Psi Chi, Gamma Sigma Alpha, & Golden Key. As a student she worked in ASPIRE as well as the Pace Bookstore and completed practicums at Rockland Psychiatric Center and NY Presbyterian-Weill Cornell. Junior year, she spent time abroad studying Australian culture. She is also a proud Pforzheimer Honors College alumnae. Kellie is currently completing her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling here at Pace and began working for the Honors College as an advisor in June 2014. She hopes to further her education and receive her PhD in Psychology with a concentration in Neuropsychology.
