NAMI has been dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. The In Our Own Voice (IOOV) presentation is a unique public education program developed by NAMI, in which two trained consumer speakers share compelling personal stories about living with mental illness and achieving recovery. IOOV is an opportunity for those who have struggled with mental illness to gain confidence and to share their individual experiences of recovery and transformation. Throughout the IOOV presentation, audience members are encouraged to offer feedback and ask questions.

Make A Difference Day is a national service day dedicated to helping other people - a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. We will be reading books to the children of the Pleasantville community. Bus leaves Pace at 12:45pm from North Hall on the Pleasantville campus, and should return by 3:15pm.
