Justin Grant                Many people associate Greeks with non-contributors to the Pace community.  A great example of someone who refutes that claim is Justin Grant.  The 21-year-old is not only an active member of his fraternity, Delta Upsilon, but in the Pace community as well.

Hailing from Franklin Lakes, NJ, the Political Science major chose Pace because his father is a graduate of the Pace NYC campus.  His decision to attend was solidified when he visited the Pleasantville campus and enjoyed the atmosphere the campus provided.

Justin has held key roles during his time at Pace.  Two years ago, Justin was an Orientation Leader for the summer.

Justin enjoyed this position and regards it as one of his best experiences while attending Pace.  He was also Chief Justice of the Student Association.

Being a member of Delta Upsilon, Justin has been able to have fun, make life-long friendships, and, most importantly, to contribute to great causes.  Justin and his brothers of DU have held an annual event called the DU Male Revue.  This event

allows the crowd in attendance to bid on the young men of DU.  All of the money raised is given to such causes as Relay for Life.  Two years ago, Delta Upsilon was the highest fundraiser for

Relay for Life– a great accomplishment.  Regarding this feat, Justin says, “it is always good to fundraise and give back to a

worthy cause such as Relay for Life.”

Justin appreciates being in the Honors College and the opportunities it has provided to him.  He has enjoyed many of his Honors classes and the professors he has encountered.  His favorite part about Honors, however, has been the great events that Honors offers.  The trip to MTV’s TRL is highlighted as Justin’s favorite, especially because TRL is no longer in

existence.

Justin feels that his Pace experience has been enhanced by his involvement on campus, which he suggests other students do as well.  He says, “Get involved, but make sure to focus on your studies.” Justin plans to attend Law school at Columbia University and will look into practicing corporate law.
