Jonathan Quartuccio is a twenty-year-old Communications major from Shelton, Connecticut.  He joined Honors as an entering freshman in the Fall of 2003 and is part of the first class of the Pforzheimer Honors College.

Once starting at Pace, Jon, affectionately known as Tooch by his friends, jumped right into clubs and organizations.  He is a member of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity, Editor-in-Chief of the Pleasantville student newspaper, The Paw Print, an avid volunteer with the Center for Community Outreach, and an employee of the Athletics Department.  Jonathan can also be heard as a broadcaster/announcer/statistician for Pace sports.  It is clear that Jonathan is very dedicated to Pace University.

Jon wants to have his own sports radio show one day.  “I want it to be similar to Mike and the Mad Dog’s show,” he says.   Mike and the Mad Dog is a popular sports broadcast on  WFAN sports radio channel 66 AM.  “I pretend I’m on Sports Center  and say things like ‘From Pleasantville, New York, I’m Jonathan Quartuccio, ESPN.’”  He usually reaches his goals, too.  He’s been successful in doing well in school, broadcasting for Pace sports, and becoming editor of The Paw Print.  “I have truly been blessed in my life,” he says whole-heartedly, “I hope to continue to do what I have been doing for not only this semester but for the remainder of my time at Pace University.”

Not everything is serious business with Jon, however.  He has a great sense of humor.  “I like to debate who would win in a fight, Snap, Crackle, and Pop or three of the strongest Keebler Elves,” he jokes.  “I love you all, especially those who took time to read about me.  Give yourself a pat on the back and hug yourself.  You deserve it.”
