Callum Jones
Callum Jones, 23 years old, is a native of Manchester, England. Prior to his acceptance at Pace, however, he attended St. Thomas More Prep School in Connecticut.
Currently, Callum is a junior at Pace University and has chosen to major in Business Management. He says, “I chose this major because I like the problem solving and human interaction that a career [in this field] can provide.” In relation to his future career goals, he would like to one day hold a job at a management consulting company that works specifically with sports teams. So, while he primarily studies business here at Pace, sports appear to play a major role in his life.
Callum is a member of the Pace University basketball team, on which he alternates between the guard and small forward positions. He hopes to always be involved with basketball somehow; he sees himself still playing in the future and perhaps even coaching. However, his interest in sports is not limited to basketball, as Callum also enjoys soccer, which he played until he was 16 with both his high school’s team and his city’s team. He adds, “I live about five minutes from the Manchester United Football (Soccer) team, which is my favorite sports team, and the best soccer team in the world. Soccer is like a religion where I live.” As for other sports, Callum says, “I play a lot of golf in the summer, even though I’m not that good.”
When Callum is not busy with classes or sports-related activities, he enjoys going to the cinema and various bars in New York City. And when asked to offer any other random fact about himself, he adds that his favorite food is pizza.
He gives this advice to his fellow Honors students: “Take advantage of the opportunities that Pace provides and enjoy your time here as much as possible.”
