Yoga Workshop
Yoga Workshop
December 13, 2005
On December 13, 2005, Pforzheimer Honors College Students took a break from the end of the semester stress and stretched their way into a tranquil meditation. Students were able to take a break from their stressful lives and indulge into the physical practice that has changed so many people’s lifestyles, Yoga.
Lead by instructor Laurice Nemetz, participants were informed about basic yoga, and learned how practicing yoga can lead to a healthier lifestyle. Students learned basic yoga positions and joined in on the sunshine salutation, one of yoga’s warm up exercises. They all tested their flexibility working to tone and build their muscles. The techniques that Honors students learned were useful for getting and staying in shape. Ms. Nemetz provided everyone with a pamphlet to guide those who wanted to continue in the yoga lifestyle.
