Wrapping Gifts
On Tuesday, December 2, merry members of the
Director of Volunteers at the Children’s Village, Ms Candida Fitts, addressed the hoards of students crowding the tables of Gottesman Room. She shared her thoughts on how this simple act of compassion brings the joy of the season to these less fortunate children year after year. It was all worthwhile knowing the children would smile upon seeing a wrapped gift just for them. Ms Fitts was accompanied by a therapy dog,
After Ms Fitts’s speech, attendees wrapped gifts for boys and girls alike and topped them with bows, ribbons, and cards wishing the children Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. By the end of the event, mounds of presents were ready to be transported to the children’s residences. Overall, judging by the number of students at this event every year, it remains the most popular Honors event of the fall semester.
