Dr Alan Colon, Professor of Education and African American Studies, at Dillard University (HBCU), New Orleans will speak on lessons about race, culture, class, poverty, and urban development in the US, focusing on New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Students will pay $30, which is half of the ticket price, to make their reservation.
In the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six young people, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser.

Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Westchester

Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. The Honors College will work on a house in Westchester Country. A pizza lunch will be provided by the Honors College

The Pace bus will leave Miller Hall at 1:20pm to catch the 1:43pm Metro-North train from Pleasantville. You will have to pay for your own train ticket ($17.00 round trip). We need to arrive at TRL before 3:30pm. The live show begins at 5:00pm. Students must wear bright colors (no white clothing).
