Senior Awards Ceremony

Senior Awards Dinner

On Thursday, May 17, 2007, from 6:00-8:00pm, sixty-one graduating Honors College students, their family, friends, and members of the Pace faculty and staff filled Gottesmann Room in the Kessel Student Center for the annual Honors Awards Ceremony.  Dr. Benton welcomed everyone to the ceremony and spoke about the vast accomplishments of the Honors College; specially recognizing senior Maria Tomassi, the Editor of SCHOLASTICA, for winning the 2006 National Collegiate Honors Council Newsletter Contest. Everyone enjoyed a  buffet-style dinner before the recognition of Honors graduating seniors.

Each Honors student was then given their time to shine as they were called to the front of the room by Dr. Benton and presented with their Honors certificates and Honors medallion by Prof. Christopher Walther, Honors College Academic Advisor for the Pleasantville campus.  Graduating Honors students, Dr. Benton, and Prof. Walther then gathered in the Kessel Well for a group photo.

Later, everyone enjoyed dessert and socializing, a perfect ending to a wonderful evening! This Awards Dinner is a celebration of the accomplishments of the exemplary Honors graduating seniors.
