Voices of Darfur is a national speaking tour sponsored by the Save Darfur Coalition. The main goal of Voices of Darfur is to increase awareness of the genocide in Darfur, Sudan and call the general public to action by exposing them to first-hand testimonial from refugees and former residents of Darfur.
Co-sponsored with the Pforzheimer Honors College, Golden Key International Honor Society, and the Center for Community Service.
Worldwide Children’s Medical Issues: Making Headway and the Xeroderma Pigmentosum Society Presentations

Come hear a presentation on medical issues that can affect a multitude of children worldwide. Two organizations that will be speaking at this event. The first is Making Headway, an organization dedicated to the care, comfort, and cure of children with spinal cord and brain tumors. The second is Xeroderma Pigmentosum Society, an organization for those people with light sensitive disorders. This event will bring awareness to these issues and hopefully encourage students to volunteer at each organization.

Trip to Jacob Burns Film Center for viewing of Hotel Rwanda

Bus leaves Pace at 10:00am from Miller Hall on the Pleasantville campus, should return by 1:30pm
Students will receive a tour of the Jacob Burns Film center in Pleasantville, NY and have a private viewing of Hotel Rwanda, a film that shows when people and governments chose to ignore the 1994 Rwanda genocide, one individual bravely risked his own life and stood up to the horror, saving 1,268 helpless refuges.
