New York City Campus Staff 2011-2012

Management Staff Members

The Office of Housing and Residential Life (OHRL) staff is comprised of the following full-time management staff.  The management staff coordinate and supervise the professional staff, select and train all OHRL staff, and provide direction and vision to the department.

The NYC Housing staff also includes the following professional staff members.  Professional staff responsibilities include supervision of student staff members; campus emergency response; safety, security, and facility issues for their area, and oversight of residence halls.

Student Staff Members

A key element to the success of our residential program is our reliance upon students in leadership and service roles within our department and our office.  The OHRL has a number of student staff members, including the following:

• Resident Advisors - undergraduate students who live on the floor and are responsible for developing a sense of community within the area. They often address or make appropriate referrals for issues of personal counseling, academic advising, policy and programming.  Resident students will receive instructions from their RA regarding the best way to contact them.  Parents and other interested parties should NOT contact RA's directly, but should instead contac the Resident Director for the building.
• Desk Attendants - undergraduate students who coordinate the guest policy and procedures at our community desks (located in Maria's Tower, 106 Fulton and 55 John Street)
• Office Assistants - undergraduate students who coordinate the daily operations of our Central Office
