Dow Hall: Bethany Riker (dowhall@pace.edu)
Bethany Riker, originally from Lancaster, PA, graduated from Nyack College in 2010 with a B.S. in Adolescent English Education. As a student, Bethany was an RA for one year, and following graduation, worked in Nyack College Residence Life in a support staff position as an Area Coordinator for the 2011-2012 academic year. She has traveled to Grenada, Mexico, India and Peru on service trips and loves experiencing other cultures and trying ethnic food. She is pursuing her M.S.Ed degree in Literacy and is looking forward to working in Residential Life at Pace.
Hillside House and Howard Johnson Hall: Samantha Bassford(hillsidehouse@pace.edu)
Samantha Bassford is from New Jersey and a recent graduate of Pace University's New York City campus. Samantha obtained her B.A. with a Communications Studies major and a minor in Dance. During her time as an undergraduate, Samantha held many leadership positions including Student Government Association, Residence Hall Association, POPTv, Orientation Leader and Resident Advisor. Samantha is excited for a new expereince on the Pleasantville campus and continuing her education at Pace.
New Dorm: Stephanie Moody (newdorm@pace.edu)
Stephanie was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY. She attended Pace University for her undergradauate degree and is currently completing her last year of a 5-year, combined degree program. Stephanie will recieve her Master's Degree for Childhood Special Education in May and will be certified to teach grades 1-9. She has been an RA at Pace for two years and has held several other leadership positions including Vice President of Administration for a campus organization for two consecutive years. Stephanie is excited about the upcoming school year and holding the position of RD for New Dorm.
Valley House: Tatiana Rugel (valleyhouse@pace.edu)
Though Tatiana has lived in a few states, Rhode Island will always be called home for her. Tatiana grew up in Newport, RI surrounded by the ocean. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Slow to get involved, Tatiana found herself becoming involved in the Residence Hall Association, the National Residence Hall Honorary, and becoming a Resident Assistant. Upon receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Legal Studies, Tatiana decided to continue in student affairs at Arizona State University. While at ASU, Tatiana worked as an Assistant Community Director, advised the hall council, and advised the campus' chapter of NRHH. She received her Master's Degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from ASU and decided that it was time to come back to the east coast. Tatiana is very excited to be joining Pace University as the new Area Director for Community Development and working with the Valley Community!
Pleasantville Residence Halls
Martin Hall: Vincent "Vinnie" Birkenmeyer (martinhall@pace.edu)
Vinnie Birkenmeyer is from Poughkeepsie, New York and recently completed a B.A. from Pace University- Pleasantville with a major in History and minors in Pre-Law Studies and Political Science. Vinnie is excited to be back at Pace working on his Masters in Public Administration within the government track. Vinnie also hopes to one day attend law school. Vinnie is a brother of Alpha Phi Delta fraternity and member of the Men’s Division II Tennis team, and served in many leadership positions as an undergraduate.
North Hall: Jennifer "Jen" Crespo (northhall@pace.edu)
Jen Crespo began her journey at Pace University 10 years ago when she started college on the Pleasantville campus. Jen was a former Resident Assistant in Martin Hall and the Town Houses, and continued to work at University Special Events after she graduated in 2006. She truly loves Pace and is finishing her Master's in Counseling.
Townhouse: Matthew Landau (townhouses@pace.edu)
Matthew Landau was born in Kingston, NY and split his childhood in New York and the suburbs of Philadelphia. He attended Binghamton University, attaining a B.A. in Political Science. At Binghamton he served as Student Association President, earning him accolades through the years, including but not limited to, the Paul J. Battaglia Student Organization Leader of the Year. Matthew has a Masters of Science in Teaching and a Masters in Public Administration. Matt spent the last two years as a Residence Director at Pace and is very excited to begin his new position as an Area Director while continuing to work with the Town House Community!
