Dear Faculty and Staff:      

As 2012 comes to a close, it is my distinct pleasure to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of our talented staff and faculty members.  Every year, we have employee recognition ceremonies to honor those of you who have completed 5 – 50 years of service in 5 year increments.

Service Awards:  As in past years, we will be providing a choice of fantastic gifts, for all honorees at each service level, which will continue to include the traditional pins and “Hitchcock” chair.  To view a complete list of available items, please click here.  If you are an honoree in 2012, you will soon receive a personalized email from OC Tanner, our employee recognition awards vendor, with information on how to select and order a gift at your specific service level.  To view the full list of honorees for 2012, please visit the Human Resources website. 

Special Awards:  In addition to recognizing employees for their length of service to Pace, we will continue to provide an opportunity to nominate and award faculty and staff for outstanding contributions to the university. 

As a new addition for this year, all nominators will be eligible to win a prize through a random drawing for the following:  First Prize: One Kindle, Second Prize: Two pairs of movie tickets and Third Prize:One Pace University Sweatshirt.  Please join us in nominating individuals and/or teams in the following categories:

  • Diversity Award  Individual and/or Team - Faculty or Staff Member(s)
  • STAR Award Individual and/or Team - Faculty or Staff Member(s)
  • President’s Extra Mile for Customer Service Award  Individual - Faculty or Staff Member
  • University’s Faculty Awards for Distinguished Service  Individual and/or Team - Faculty Member(s) Only
  • President’s Award for Staff Excellence in Leadership  Individual and/or Team - Staff Only
  • Outstanding Staff Contribution Award  Individual and/or Team - Staff Only
  • Faculty Advisor Award  Individual - Faculty or Staff Member

Last year was the inaugural year for the STAR Award rewarding Staff That Are Remarkable.This Presidential award is given to a staff or facultymember (or a team) who has consistently and substantially contributed to the development of a strong financial foundation or effective management through:

Increasing enrollment,

Developing other revenue streams,

Redesigning and improving business processes,

Promoting and reinforcing a culture of accountability and teamwork across his/her department,

Demonstrating concrete results in effectively implementing the service ethic.

Nominations:  Your involvement in the nomination process is essential in making the special award program meaningful and successful.  You can become involved in the following ways:

  • Nomination Committee Members Needed:  Join the nomination committee responsible for selecting awardees.  Representation by faculty, staff and students creates a diverse committee!  If you are interested in participating on the committee, please contact
