Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day
Dear Pace Community,
We are pleased to invite you and your children to participate in Pace’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day on Thursday, April 30, 2015.
What is it about?
Pace University's Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day is based upon the national campaign, Take Our Daughters to Work Day, which was created in 1993 by the Ms. Foundation. This special event gives children the opportunity to go to work with a parent instead of going to school for one day.
What is the Purpose of the Program? The purpose of the program is to encourage, inspire, and introduce girls and boys across the country to the workplace and empower them to dream without gender limitations and think imaginatively about their family, work, and community lives. It is designed to help children expand their career aspirations by giving them a chance to experience various careers firsthand.
Who is invited?
Children, ages 8 through 15, are invited to participate. Members of the Pace University community are encouraged to bring their daughters, sons, grandchildren, nieces or nephews.
What will they do at Pace?
Children will participate in a variety of activities throughout the day beginning with a breakfast and welcome address. They will also spend time with you in your office. We will be posting our schedule of events for each campus on our HR Website under HR NEWS.
How do I register?
Please Click Here to complete a registration form and return to Rosemary Mulry at email@example.com or by fax to 914.989.8660. All registration forms must be received by Friday, April 24, 2015.
PLEASE NOTE: All children must pre-registerand parents must accompany their children to the planned campus activities. A schedule of activities will be sent to those who register. Even if your child will be accompanying you to work, but will not be participating in the planned activities, we still need you to register your child. This is for your protection and the protection of your child.
We hope you will participate in Pace University’s Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work® Day. It promises to be a fun-filled interactive experience that you and your children will surely remember!
