YES Recognition Program
You can now recognize active student workers as well as multi-select more than one name for the same nomination, if applicable.
The goal of the YES Award is to provide special recognition to Pace staff and student workers for simple achievements in their every day roles. This is intended to be a customer generated recognition with minimal investment, which will improve both internal and external customer service.
Such achievements may include:
- Performance substantially beyond expectation on a specific assignment, task or goal
- Contributions that have a positive impact on customer service
- Extraordinary efforts above and beyond the normal duties of the position
All Pace University staff, both full and part-time, and active student workers are eligible to receive the YES Award. The recognition can be given by other staff members, faculty members, students and vendors who work with the staff member. They should be given on an individual basis and can be given at all levels of positions throughout the University.

We also have posters in various locations on each campus regarding this program, which contain the website address to go to in order to recognize a staff member. After the customer completes the form, it will be sent to the Employee Relations Manager, the staff member or student worker, and their supervisor.
Information you will need, to recognize an employee/student worker for outstanding customer service, will include:
- The staff member/student worker's name
- Your name
- Your email address
- The department, company or other affiliation you have with Pace University
Why you are recognizing this staff member or student worker
At the end of each month, a winner will be drawn, from both the New York City and the Westchester campuses, from a pool of all staff members recognized during the month. Employees are not eligible to win the monthly prize more than once during the year. All required fields on the form must be filled out completely in order for this to be a legitimate entry.
The entire pool of employees recognized throughout the year will also be eligible for an annual grand prize, which will be chosen by the Employee Recognition Nomination Committee.

Annual Award - $500.00 for each campus
Each monthly recipient of the YES award will be recognized in the Pace Pulse on a monthly basis. We will also have an ongoing list of all members recognized on the Human Resources website, under the Employee Relations section. These awards will be given through the Human Resources Department.
HR has created a new scholarship fund to provide an annual textbook scholarship to YES (Your Excellence Shows) award-winning student workers. The Fund will be established with proceeds raised from selling student-designed bookmarks at faculty and staff events and/or contributions from parties with an interest in providing textbook assistance to student workers. Every January, one annual scholarship will be awarded to a YES award-winning student worker.
