On September 15th Pace University ITS is moving all students (with the exception of Pace University School of Law students) to Google Apps for Education – http://google.pace.edu, and they will join the 3,000+ students that either signed-up early for Google Apps for Education (GAE) or were successfully moved to GAE on August 23rd.  Students will be able to send and receive new e-mails from http://google.pace.edu on September 15th  and delivery of e-mail to http://email.pace.edu will cease.

However, due to the sheer volume of student data that we are transferring (i.e. existing mail, sent items, contacts, and calendar items), migration will not be completed until September 30th.  In the meantime, students can access previously existing data (old e-mail, sent items, contacts, or calendar items) from http://email.pace.edu

Where do I need to go on/after September 15th for sending and receiving Pace e-mail?

What do I need to do?

What will I get?
  • Over 7 GB of e-mail storage; no more worries about having to delete mail
  • Google Docs to create and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online
  • The same e-mail address (i.e. username@pace.edu)
  • Google Calendar to schedule meetings, create events, and share calendars with others
  • Access to your information from anywhere with an internet connection; you can also access your e-mail with a mobile device - http://www.google.com/mobile/sync/ or http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/mobile.html
  • You will own your e-mail account after graduation
  • All existing mail, sent items, calendar items, and contacts from the previous e-mail system will finish migrating before October 1st
