Upon receiving my user ID code for use in the Computer Resource Center facilities, I agree to abide by the regulations set forth by the department. The following activities are prohibited:

  • copying of Computer Resource Center software and manuals for their removal from the lab facilities
  • tampering or otherwise altering Computer Resource Center systems software
  • using Computer Resource Center systems to send inappropriate mail or for the establishment of bulletin boards
  • rearranging/ tampering/ vandalizing system units, cables printers, tables, chairs, etc., in the lab facilities
  • using official telephones in the lab facilities
  • smoking, consumption of food, game playing in CRC facilities
  • sharing MyPace Portal Account with other individuals to gain access to lab facilities
  • signing in your MyPace Portal Account for another individual to gain access to the computers
  • using cell phones in the Computer Resource Center facilities
  • excessive noise levels that interfere with the day-to-day activities of the Computer Resource Center
  • disruptive or abusive behavior towards users or staff
In addition, I understand and agree to the following:
  • admittance to the Computer Resource Center is conditional upon an active MyPace Portal account in order to gain access to use the computer in the lab
  • non-Pace members without a user account (i.e.; non-student, non-alumni, non-faculty or non-staff) are not permitted in the computer labs 
  • alumni/Guests have restricted access to the facilities that are limited to the regular hours specified
  • loitering in the labs is strictly prohibited
  • unattended children and use of computer equipment by children is prohibited
  • printing services are conditional upon an active Pace OneCard for students and an active MyPace Portal account for Faculty/Staff/Alumni/Guest
  • printing services are subject to the specified charges per print, copy, and/or scan to e-mail
  • all print jobs are automatically set to double-sided printing. Users are responsible for changing their own settings to one-sided if desired or asking for assistance before releasing print jobs
  • users are responsible for previewing their documents before printing and releasing them in order to ensure that they are formatted properly for printing and no unwanted pages exist
  • the Department of User Services is not responsible for any unauthorized charges due to failure of signing out properly
  • all users are expected to abide by all applicable copyright laws and licenses
  • use of personal software and equipment must be approved by a Lab Supervisor/LAN Administrator
  • all documents must be saved onto removable media. Users are responsible for backing up their own data
  • use of cell phones is prohibited. Cell phones should be turned off or placed on vibrate mode upon entering the Computer Resource Center. Phone conversations should be conducted outside of the facility
  • the Department of User Services is not responsible for personal items left unattended in the Computer Resource Center facilities
