Systems & High Performance Computing

The Technical Services department is comprised of a team of dedicated Windows and Linux systems administrators focused on delivering the most reliable, secure, innovative, and cost-effective information technology solutions for Pace's students, faculty and staff. We support the University's mission-critical servers, disk storage systems, University applications, and back-office systems. Our support includes 24-hour monitoring to insure the availability and continuity of the University's most critical servers.
We design, implement and support a number of key systems, outlined below. We also work collaboratively with other departments in ITS, as well as other areas of the University, on I.T. initiatives. We can be reached through the University Helpdesk at 914-773-3333 (on campus, x33333).
List of Services
The High Performance Computing (HPC) initiative began in September 2010 when Pace received a donated HPC cluster from Blue Sky Studios. A committee comprised of ITS staff and Pace faculty was formed to foster the development of HPC at Pace and oversee the use of the cluster. The committee meets monthly to discuss enhancements to and expansion of HPC resources. They also work to develop ways to promote the use of HPC for research and educational initiatives.
