Fact Sheet

General Information:

  • Established in 1976 in White Plains, New York 20 miles north of New York City.
  • The Joseph and Bessie Gerber Glass Law Library was completed in 1979.
  • A new state-of-the-art classroom building with wireless Internet access was  constructed in 1999.
  • The New York State Judicial Institute - the first judicial training and research facility in the nation built by and for a state court system is under construction at Pace Law School. The 27,000 square foot building is expected to open on May 1, 2003.
  • The School offers a J.D. program for full-time and part-time day and evening students.
  • Post-graduate programs include the LL.M. and S.J.D. degrees in environmental Law and the LL.M. in Comparative Legal Studies.
  • Only twenty law schools in the country are accredited to offer S.J.D. degrees and Pace is the only one to offer a S.J.D. in environmental law.
  • Pace’s environmental law program has once again been ranked number three in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
  • The clinical education program also is nationally ranked, offering clinics in domestic violence prosecution, poverty law, environmental litigation, securities, arbitration, and disability law.
  • Pace Law School is part of Pace University, a comprehensive, independent and diversified University with campuses in New York City and Westchester County, and a Hudson Valley Center located at Stewart Airport in New Windsor.
