Pace Law School to Honor Congresswoman Nita Lowey
at
Women's History Month Award Reception
WHO: Congresswoman Nita Lowey will be presented with the
"Pioneer of Justice and Equality for Women and the Law"
Award.
WHEN: March 13, 2004, at 11:00 a.m.
WHAT: In celebration of Women’s History Month, Pace Law
School’s Women’s Association of Law Students will host its annual
award brunch. The event is designed to highlight the accomplishments
of women in law. The Women’s Association of Law Students is
comprised of Pace Law Students working cooperatively to enhance the
educational experience and professional pursuits of female law
students.
WHERE: Pace Law School, Preston Hall, Tudor Room, 78 North
Broadway, White Plains, New York.
Gloria Bruzzano, President of Pace Law School’s Women’s
Association of Law Students stated, "Congresswoman Lowey is an
amazing and courageous individual. It seemed obvious that WALS should
recognize her as a pioneer. She has dedicated much of her political
career to advancing the rights of women and children. Her record with
regard to domestic violence, health care, education and abortion
speaks for itself...she is committed to making a difference for women
in her district. Congresswoman Lowey has also helped our own Women's
Justice Center and continues to support Pace and our endeavors. It is
an honor to be able to present this award to her.
Founded in 1976, Pace Law School is a New York Law School with a
