Access, Remote Access and the Library Barcode
All students are required to get a barcode in
order to use any of the PACE Libraries. You can get a barcode at
the Graduate Center Library anytime the library is open . . . .it
takes about 3 minutes. Once you have a barcode . . .
. the information world is at your fingertips as you can now use the library
through remote access 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Place
your barcode on your student ID. To access our databases remotely
simply point your browser to: http://library.pace.edu
When you click on any of our databases a dialog box will appear asking
for your name and the last seven digits of your library barcode.
PACE Libraries support: Netscape and MS Internet Explorer.
Should you have any problems accessing remotely, please call us.
Books & Journal Articles
You can place your order online by going to the
PACE Library Catalog.
Go to: http://library.pace.edu
Click on Library Catalog to begin your search.
Click on the Request
button once you identify the book or journal you want and then fill out
the electronic request form and submit. Do not forget to choose your
pickup location.
If PACE does not own the book or journal article
you need then click on the button that says Interlibrary Loan
on the first page of the Library Catalog:
http://innopac.pace.edu/search
fill out the electronic form and submit.
Remember . . . . If PACE owns the book it usually takes 2 -4 business days to receive it from one of our sister libraries. If you order through Interlibrary Loan (libraries outside of PACE) it can take up to 2 weeks to get a book and from 24 hours to 10 days to get an article. Always include the date by which you must have the material, when filling out the electronic form, and include your phone number or email address so we can contact you the moment the material arrives.
Electronic Reserve Room
You can access materials that your professor
has put on reserve by pointing your browser to:
http://reserves.pace.edu/
Materials in print format will have to be accessed in person at the Graduate Center Library.
Databases: Full Text and Bibliographic
Always check the Full Text databases first
as that is the quickest way to do your research.
