Finding Books
You can find other books on your topic by searching the online
Pace Library Catalog by subject or
keyword. Subject searches target the specific Library of Congress Subject
Headings that have been assigned to the books that the Pace Library owns.
Unless you know the subject headings that pertain to your topic, you may want to
begin with a Keyword search. Once you have found a source
that you find useful, look at the Library of Congress Subject Headings towards
the bottom of the catalog record to determine the best terms to use in a
Subject search for further materials. Subject headings that
you may find useful are:
- Artificial Intelligence
- Computer Games -- Programming
- Computers and Civilization
- Computer Networks
- Computer Networks -- Security Measures
- Computer Security

Search the Literature…journals, indexes, databases
For quickly identifying and locating the top 50 journals in information
science, read Technical
Opinion: How to Quickly Find Articles in the Top IS Journals --a PDF
document published in the Communications of the ACM from the Guide
to Computing Literature.
- ACM
Digital Library
- Tables of contents, abstracts, reviews and the full-text for articles
published in the ACM (Association of Computing Machinery) periodicals
and proceedings since 1985 are available. The ACM Guide is also available,
offering a bibliographic citations and abstracts of works published
by ACM and other publishers. The Guide to Computing Literature--"a bibliographic collection from major publishers in computing" is also accessible.
- Books
24x7
- This is an E-Book collection focusing on technology and business offering
instant access to the full text (including code, examples, and graphics)
from the comprehensive library of over 1000 technology reference books
and journals. Topics related to computer science and information systems
include: Certification and Compliance, Databases, Desktop & Office
Applications, Enterprise Computing, Enterprise Computing, Graphic Design
& Multimedia, Hardware, IBM Technologies, Networks & Protocols,
