Accessing Databases:
To access one of the Pace University Databases, start at the Pace University Library home page at http://www.pace.edu/library and click on Articles via Databases.
If you know the name of the database you would like to use, click on it from the pull down menu titled Complete Database Listings.
If you are not sure which database to use, click on a topic area in the pull down menu titled Subject Research Area.
The individual database listing and the subject research area database list will have a brief description of the database under the database title.
To access the database, click on the database name or the CONNECT TO DATABASE link.

If the database you are interested in using is a CD-ROM product and the description notes that it is only available in the library, you will need to access it through the computers in the library. Please ask a reference librarian if you are not sure how to access the CD-ROM databases at your library.

Basic searching in many of our subscription databases is the same as keyword searching in the catalog. You will need to type your topic in the search box and click a search button to receive a list of citations, abstracts, articles, book chapters, or dissertations depending on the database you are using. The below guides provide tips for advanced searching, printing, emailing, and downloading your results from the Pace University Library electronic indexes and databases.  If the database vendor provides search help or a tutorial about their databases through their website, a link to that internet site is also listed under the database name.
