Access, Remote Access and the Library Barcode
All students are required to get a barcode in order to use any of the PACE Libraries.  You can get a barcode at the Graduate Center Library anytime the library is open  . . . .it takes about 3 minutes.  To access our databases remotely simply point your browser to: http://library.pace.edu and click on Articles Via Databases.  As soon as you click on a particular database a dialog bos will appear asking for your Pace University Email username (without the @pace.edu) and password.  Should you have problems gaining access, give us a call at 422-4384.

Books & Journal Articles
Check the PACE Library Catalog to see if we own particular books and journals.  If we own your particular title, you can place your order online.  Click on Library Catalog to begin your search.  Click on the  Request  button once you identify the book or journal you want and then fill out the electronic request form and submit.  Do not forget to choose your pickup location.

If PACE does not own the book or journal article you need either email the Graduate Services Librarian directly at: mlang@pace.edu or  click on the button that says Interlibrary Loan  on the first page of the Library Catalog:   http://innopac.pace.edu/screens/illpace.html      Fill out the electronic form and submit.

Remember  . . . . If  PACE owns the book it usually takes 2 -4 business days to receive it from one of our sister libraries.  If you order through Interlibrary Loan  (libraries outside of PACE) it can take up to 2 weeks to get a book and from 24 hours to 10 days to get an article.  Include the date by which you must have the material, when filling out the electronic form. Also, include your phone number or email address so we can contact you the moment the material arrives.

Electronic Reserve Room
You can access materials that your professor has put on reserve by pointing your browser to:
http://www.pace.edu/library/pages/Find_Resources/RESERVES_frame.html

Materials in print format will have to be accessed in person at the Graduate Center Library.

Databases:  Full Text and Bibliographic
Pace Libraries subscribe to a total of 138 databases, of which 48 are full-text databases.   Please point your browser to:  http://appserv.pace.edu/library/pages/databases.cfm    for a complete list and description of all our databases.

Always check the Full Text databases first as that is the quickest way to do your research.
