ILLiad, InterLibrary Loan Internet Accessible Database, allows you to request books, journal articles, proceedings, or government documents, not owned by Pace University Library. Please keep in mind that processing time can take ten business days or longer in some cases, depending on where the material is coming from. Benefits of using ILLiad are:
When registering in the ILLiad system be sure to select Distance Ed Students from the "Status" drop-down menu to identify yourself. This ensures that materials requested are delivered via email, fax, or regular mail. On-campus students pick up their materials at the delivery location specified. InterLibrary Loan is available to current members of the Pace community. Check the InterLibrary Loan section of Services for Distance Education Students for additional information on returning books and insurance coverage. To know which journal titles Pace University Library has in its collection and which are available through the databases, perform a Journal Title search in the Library Catalog. You may be linked to databases that index the journal. Electronic Journal allows you to browse journal titles under broad subject categories that Pace Library subscribes to, either through print, electronic or both. Those that are available through the databases will have the extension Ftxt after their name. For example, Telecommunications Ftxt. Check the Pace Library Catalog for books available at Pace University. (This link will take you off this page. Use your browser back button to return). The library-subsidized Document
Delivery Services, CISTI/Source, serve as a convenient alternative to
InterLibrary Loan. Requested articles are sent directly from the service
to the requestor without the intervention of a library staff. To use
CISTI/Source, you must send an email to request an account from
any other the locations; indicate you're a distance education student.
