Education:
Dr. Allen holds the following degrees: PhD from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC; MSN (Nursing & Healthcare Administration) and a MS (Management) from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL and a BSN from Norwich University, Northfield VT.
Areas of Expertise:
Leadership/Management, Maternal-Infant, Fundamentals. Dr. Allen is currently teaching Fundamentals of Nursing Practice and Introduction to Professional Nursing.

Professional Experience:
Dr. Allen joined the Lienhard School of Nursing, College of Health Professions in 2012. Her previous teaching experiences were with the University of South Carolina as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Newberry College, SC as a Clinical Instructor. Prior to that, Dr. Allen has worked as a nurse manager, nurse educator and staff nurse in various hospitals and clinics along the East Coast and Japan. She is a former Navy Nurse.
