Dr. Esma Paljevic Attends Prestigious Institute

Dr. Esma Paljevic, EdD, RN, CPNP, recently attended the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) Summer Genetics Institute (SGI) at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD held June 2-27, 2014. The SGI provided Dr. Paljevic with an exceptional foundation in molecular genetics to use in her future research, clinical practice and teaching activities. This intensive 4-week, 8-credit hour graduate level program included both classroom and laboratory components. She was chosen for this highly competitive and prestigious program based on her potential for a highly productive research or clinical career.

She says, "The experience was amazing and the most thought provoking and educationally stimulating environment that I have ever attended. I have not only learned a great deal but I have built collaborative relationships that will empower my future research endeavors and the possibility of integrating genomics in our curriculum.  I felt very fortunate to be a part of this and am grateful for Pace's support in this process."
