Education: Professor Berro holds the following degrees: PNP post masters certificate from State University of New York, Stony Brook; MA in Nursing Education from New York University, NY; BSN (Nursing) from Queens College, Charlotte, NC; Diploma (Nursing) from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Charlotte, NC.
Areas of Expertise: Pediatric Nursing, Pathophysiology and education technology. Professor Berro is currently teaching several undergraduate courses in pathophysiology, pharmacology, pediatric nursing and physical assessment.
Professional Experience: Currently, Professor Berro is a full time faculty member at Pace University (since 2006), after serving as an adjunct faculty member at the university for ten years. She teaches in both the RN4 and CDP programs. Professor Berro began her nursing career as staff nurse in a pediatric intensive care unit at The New York Hospital, NY. Throughout her career thus far, she has worked in pediatric nursing areas including: emergency department, outpatient and outpatient phone triage, as hospital instructor for general pediatrics and pediatric intensive care, as a PALS instructor and car seat safety technician.
