Education: Professor Greenberg holds the following degrees: Ph.D. (Nursing Research and Theory Development) from New York University, NY; MSN (Teaching) from Hunter College, New York, NY; BSN (Nursing) from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY; Diploma (Nursing) from Burbank Hospital School of Nursing, Fitchburg, MA.
Areas of Expertise: Alternative/Complementary Healing and Integrative Medicine, Nursing Leadership. Professor Greenberg is currently teaching several undergraduate and graduate courses in Holistic Nursing, Holistic Healing and Stress Reduction.
Current Areas of Research: The use of Imagery, Visualization, Humor in Pain reduction and Aromatherapy for sleep enhancement in post surgical hospitalized patients.
Professional Experience: Currently, Professor Greenberg works in the Medical-Surgical units as a Per Diem Staff Nurse at Falmouth Hospital in Falmouth, Massachusetts. She has been among the faculty at Pace University since 1978, currently holding the titles of Associate Professor of Medical Surgical Nursing and Didactic and Clinical Instructor. From 1994 to 2000, she was Chairperson of the Four-Year Baccalaureate Program (Nursing) at Pace University. She began her nursing career as Staff/Charge Nurse in Intensive Care (adult) at Choate Hospital in Woburn, MA. Throughout her career thus far, she has worked at: Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing (Instructor), Hunter College School of Nursing, Long Island University, Westchester County Medical Center (Staff Nurse) and in private practice.
