Education: Professor Kelly holds the following degrees: EdD (Education Administration/ Adult Education) from Florida Atlantic University, FL; MS (Medical Surgical Nursing/ Nursing Education) from Russell Sage College, NY; BS (Nursing) from Mount Saint Mary College, NY; Diploma from Albany Medical Center School of Nursing, NY.
Areas of Expertise: Nursing Education, Nursing Informatics, Nursing Administration and Patient Education.
She is currently teaching Matrices of Nursing Practice, Analysis of Concepts in Primary Health Care, Decision Making in Health Care Systems, and Educating the Educator: Concepts Behind the Practice of Teaching.
Current Areas of Research: Application of technology for education and practice.
Professional Experience: Professor Kelly joined Pace University in 2000 as Assistant Professor. From 2000 to 2004 she was also Chair for the Department of Undergraduate Studies. From 2004 to 2008 she was an Assistant Professor for the Department of Graduate Studies in the Collaborative Nursing Informatics Program at Pace University. Currently Professor Kelly teaches in the Graduate Nursing Education Program. She has held positions at the National League for Nursing, as an Assistant Director of Nursing, as a Coordinator for Patient Education and as a Clinical Manager of Nursing Informatics. She has previously taught in Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs in Nursing. Professor Kelly developed her clinical nursing career as a Medical Surgical and Intensive Care Staff Nurse, prior to her experiences in Nursing Education and Nursing Administration.
