Karen Maier holds a BSN and MSN with certification in Education from Regis University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and an AAS from Pace University, where she graduated with distinction.  She is presently completing the MSN program at Regis University. 

Areas of Expertise:
Integrative Medicine, interdisciplinary holistic approaches to care, maternal/child health. 

Professional Experience:

Karen is a Clinical Coordinator in the Integrative Medicine Program at Northern Westchester Hospital, where she has created and implemented an innovative program which offers acupuncture, aromatherapy, acubands, energy healing, reflexology, gentle touch therapies, guided imagery and hypnotherapy.  She is also a Planetree Facilitator; she developed the curriculum for and implementation of Planetree Retreats for Northern Westchester Hospital Staff.  She was also a facilitator for transforming organizational culture to a patient-family centered focus.  Karen spent 20 years in maternal child health, creating and implementing individualized care plans for a diverse population of obstetrical clients and newborns.
