Education: Dr. Yang holds the following degrees: PhD in Nursing from the University of Texas, Austin; Master’s of Public Health from Seoul National University; and BS in Nursing from Chonbuk National University, Korea.

Areas of Research: Physical activity, mind body intervention, prevention and management of diabetes, underserved and minority populations
Professional Experience: Dr. Yang was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing from 2005-2013. She also has experience as an Assistant Instructor at Inha University’s Department of Nursing, Korea. She worked as a staff nurse in the OR at Seoul National University Hospital.
