Research Centers
Lubin is also home to several centers of expertise, each of which brings academic and business leaders together in events open to all students:
- The Center for Global Governance, Reporting, and Regulation sponsors research and discussion on the development and implementation of global financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance and governance. It also develops programs to develop proficiencies and expertise in these areas and hosts conferences and events on relevant topics featuring leaders in these fields.
- The Center for Global Business Programs (CGBP) builds Lubin's relationships with international educational institutes and non-government and business organizations. The mission of the CGBP is to enhance the global capabilities of Lubin students and faculty by providing opportunities for international academic and professional experiences of the highest quality, facilitating global-centered learning, and supporting applied international research.
- The Global Portfolio Analysis Center (G-PACT) promotes the use of real data, both numerical and descriptive, as well as the description/demonstration of real processes in the curriculum of Lubin. The Center provides students and faculty with access to financial datafeeds, as well as other firm-specific information necessary for the evaluation of financial securities, as well as of the entities that issue them.
- The Center for Business and Technology offers the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Program, the Financial Planning Certificate Program, CPA and CFP Review Programs, real estate, accounting, and finance programs. The FP program offers courses in fundamentals of financial planning, insurance planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning and employee benefits, and estate planning. The Center also assists CPAs in meeting mandatory CPE requirements.
- The William C. Freund Center for the Study of Securities Markets has strengthened the ties between Lubin and Wall Street by providing a dynamic forum for the discussion of industry issues related to financial markets.
- The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) was established at Pace University in October of 1986 to assist existing small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs as part of the Lubin School's economic development program.
- Entrepreneurship @ Lubin has been a fundamental orientation within the curriculum of innovative courses specific to the entrepreneurial experience. The significance of entrepreneurial studies is evidenced in the nationally accredited core curricula offered by the Lubin School and its curricular and co-curricular programs.
