Bachelor of Business Administration in Public Accounting
The major in public accounting is designed to prepare students for careers in public accounting in business, government, and the non-profit sector. It is registered with the New York State Education Department as meeting the current education requirements for CPA licensure. Public accounting majors are eligible to sit for the CPA Examination in New York State prior to graduation, provided that all requirements for the BBA are completed within 60 days after the administration of the CPA Examination.

Bachelor of Business Administration in General Accounting
The general accounting major is designed to provide the student with a broad-based course of study in accounting and an opportunity to develop, through the use of electives, a specialization in such areas as information systems, finance, or managerial accounting. This is not offered in other accounting majors.

Combined BBA/MBA in Public Accounting
The Accounting department offers an accelerated 150-credit combined BBA/MBA program for highly qualified students who wish to prepare for the public accounting profession and earn both the BBA and the MBA in less time than is normally required. It is registered with the New York State Education Department as meeting both the current education requirements for CPA licensure and the new 150 credit hour requirement which will be implemented in New York State as of August 1, 2009. Graduates of the Combined Program satisfy the current requirements for the one-year CPA experience waiver in New York State. The program also meets the educational requirements for admission to the CPA examination in most other states, including those which require 150 credit hours. Full-time students will be able to complete the Combined Program in five years, or four years with additional summer study. Students will be awarded both the BBA and MBA upon completion of the Combined Program. A student who does not finish the MBA requirements may apply any graduate credits earned toward completion of a BBA program.

Combined BBA Public Accounting/MS Financial Management
The BBA Public Accounting/MS Financial Management Program is a joint degree, five-year, full-time program designed to provide students with the coursework required to qualify to become CPAs, and with an in-depth understanding of finance to become financial managers and chief financial officers of global corporations and financial institutions. The program satisfies the New York State 150-credit-hour requirement for the CPA certificate and provides the core of finance knowledge needed to advance to a career in financial management. In addition, students will cover a substantial amount of the material required to prepare them for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The program gives students a thorough understanding of several areas in accounting and finance - financial and managerial accounting, taxes, capital budgeting, cash flow valuation, risk management, capital structure, dividend policy, mergers and acquisitions - and more. The BBA/MS program also provides students with the opportunity to complete both degrees in five years, in less time than is normally required, while avoiding the duplication that often occurs in separate academic programs.

Combined BBA Public Accounting/MS Taxation
The BBA Accounting/MS Taxation joint degree is a unique, five-year, full-time program that builds on Lubin's strong reputation in accounting and tax. Graduates meet the 150-credit requirement for the CPA exam while simultaneously obtaining an in-depth understanding of tax law. The BBA in Accounting provides a thorough understanding of how financial information is used by management, the government, and the public. Students can begin taking the CPA exam in New York during the fifth year of the program. There is an intensive exam review program provided for this purpose. Through the MS component of the program, students learn how to quantify risk and predict shifts in the tax environments that affect industry.
