Pace University hosted a panel discussion on the upcoming parliamentary elections in India which was attended by the Deputy Consul General of India, Ms. Devyani Khobragade. She presented an overview of US-India relations at the conference.
The discussion was moderated by Prof. Larry Bridwell who teaches International Business at Pace University and uses Nandan Nilekani's book Imagining India as one of the textbooks in his Globalization class. Among the panelists who discussed the upcoming elections was Prof. Surendra Kaushik who is a professor of Finance and the founder of Mrs. Helena Kaushik Women's College, Rajasthan, India. Prof. Satish Kolluri, Chair and Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Dyson School of Arts and Sciences, strongly argued in favor of upholding the secular ethos of India. Mr. Ashok Vyas, Director of Programming, ITV, New York gave an overview of the political situation in India.
