Student Experiences

[Argentina and Chile]
[Argentina and Chile]
“Because this was my first experience in South America, I found it to be different and "eye-opening". The most important point that the trip brought to the surface for me was that as business people, we really need to understand the business environment and the culture of every country in which you are trying to conduct business. Although Argentina and Chile are neighboring countries, they provide a contrasting view of the business environment in South America.”

[Denmark]
“The travel course to Copenhagen and Stockholm was a great experience, both personally and professionally. Through city tours and agency tours, I was able to understand many facets of the Scandinavian business culture and the importance of sustainability. This opportunity expanded my global mindset by thinking and working beyond my own perspective and borders. As students, we gain invaluable experience outside of the classroom when we are doing something new; whether it’s going new places, meeting new people, learning new industries, cultures and business practices, we can gain insights to another world and expand our skill set. I am so fortunate to have had this experience through Pace; moreover, the support from the Figueroa Scholarship Foundation to make this possible.”

[Semester Abroad]
SEMESTER ABROAD

“I ultimately chose to study abroad to learn about different cultures, but never realized how much other cultures could teach me about myself. Every day I was forced to step outside my comfort zone into a totally unknown but phenomenal world. Barcelona was the best place I could ever call home and really hope to return in the future. If there is one thing that I would say everybody needs to experience during their college years, it would be studying abroad. I made lifelong friends that I will forever be in contact with and learned countless life lessons that I will hold with me forever. No words will ever do it justice; everyone needs to experience it for themselves.”
