International Field Study to China

The International Business and Management Field Study to China traveled with 15 students (seven undergraduate and eight graduate students) for the ninth consecutive year from March 22nd to March 31st, 2013. Led by Dr. Alan Eisner, the course focused on understanding different cultures, doing business across cultures, and managing multi-national business affairs in the context of the USA and China. Students studied cases and heard from experts before and during the trip to China. While traveling to Beijing and Shanghai, the group visited more than ten companies including Hyundai, AT Kearney, Shanghai Star Metal Co., and China Merchants Bank, as well as several cultural sites such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.

Four Lubin students were each awarded $1,500 scholarships from the Figueroa Family Scholarships, for a total of $6,000 in funds awarded for this field study.
