Events & Activities
In addition to providing staff assistance, valuable technology resources and dedicated space, the Entrepreneurship Lab organizes a wide variety of events and activities. These include competitions, such as the Pitch Contest, Business Plan Competition and Mobile App Design Contest; a host of different speakers; social and networking functions; as well as workshops and mentoring programs.
Past events have included prominent members of the business community such as David Siegel (CEO, Investopedia), Fredric Price (Chairman and CEO, Chiasma), and Eric Diamond (CEO, Tribeca Cloud) speaking to students in Speaker Series events. Competitions such as the Pace Pitch Contest invite students who have a new business concept to pitch their ideas in a formal setting to a distinguished panel of judges. Other activities can be informal and engaging such as the 2013 workshop where students played the FreshBiz board game aimed at developing entrepreneurial thinking. Since its inception the lab has organized over 100 events and activities. The lab also co-promotes several external events to help Pace students prepare and compete with students from other universities. Students lead by faculty fellows also attend popular events in New York City like HealthTech 2014, FreshBiz workshop, Dream It Code It Win It and MIT Enterprise Forum of NYC.
