MS Taxation Program

The MS in Taxation program is designed to provide an intensive approach to the study of taxation. The student is not required to undertake any study in the fields of management, finance or economics. Upon completion of this program you will have advanced technical knowledge in the field of taxation. Students enrolled in this program may devote their entire course of study to the field. Certified public accountants, lawyers and those who have completed undergraduate studies in law and accounting will find this curriculum particularly useful. Core courses familiarize students with tax practice and procedure, advanced concepts of taxation, estate planning, advanced corporate income tax and research methodology. You may also choose from a wide range of specialized elective taxation courses matching your curriculum to your career objectives.

The BBA Accounting/MS Taxation joint degree is a unique, five-year, full-time program that builds on Lubin's strong reputation in accounting and tax. Graduates meet the 150-credit requirement for the CPA exam while simultaneously obtaining an in-depth understanding of tax law. The BBA in Accounting provides a thorough understanding of how financial information is used by management, the government, and the public. Students can begin taking the CPA exam in New York during the fifth year of the program. There is an intensive exam review program provided for this purpose. Through the MS component of the program, students learn how to quantify risk and predict shifts in the tax environments that affect industry.
