This is a regular series that magnifies individual data points to provide students and parents a way to find which undergraduate or graduate programs excel in specific areas. The new ranking highlights ten national universities with the highest percentage of 2011 graduates who worked as interns during their undergraduate studies. The Association of International Bank Auditors (AIBA) and the Lubin School of Business at Pace University have created a joint six-month premier certificate program for bank compliance professionals - the Certified Compliance and Regulatory Professional (CCRP). The new and expanded CCRP program starts February 28, 2013. This six-month program with 20 three-hour sessions adds two new modules on securities law and consumer protection law, and addresses the need for a well-recognized, comprehensive international compliance credential. Today's financial market difficulties can be a silver lining for moving ahead in your career. Lubin's Masters in Finance for Professionals (MFP) program is specially designed for people already working in finance or those wanting to enter the field who need to update their knowledge and skills within a practical framework. Students Laura Schmitt, Gabriella Gonzalez, Vito Delberti, Renee Bluszcz and Christina Rufo from the Pleasantville campus and Sazma Shameem, Yuan Gai, Kristhy Jimenez, Umesh Patel, and Domingo Rodriguez from the New York City campus, were recent recipients of the Ernst & Young Scholarship award. The Ernst & Young Fund for Excellence in Accounting Education provides scholarship awards of $5,000 each to outstanding Lubin students in a qualified undergraduate or graduate accounting program. Ernst & Young LLP established the scholarship fund in 2010 to promote educational excellence in accounting at Pace. >> more info |

The Center for Global Business Programs runs a custom finance program where French students spend one semester at Lubin, taking three finance courses and a course in American Business Practices. As part of the program, the cohort of French students visited the Bloomberg headquarters, and attended a special lecture dealing with the role of corporate governance in banking, delivered by Professors John James and Ned Lewis. This program is comprised of 15 students from Rouen Business School and three students from Reims Management School who are pursuing a French master's degree at their home schools. |
