Overview
The Lubin School of Business MBA program includes Foundation and Professional Core courses that are consistent with MBA programs nationally. Professional Core courses are unique in that they emphasize innovation, value creation, and the application of financial concepts. The Core also features an international course that includes a strong emphasis on ethics within a global context. The curriculum's problem-based approach integrates contemporary theory and professional practice in order to enhance the students' ability to work collaboratively and creatively to solve complex business problems. The MBA program has been developed around three themes that represent key needs within today's business organizations: managing people and organizational transformation within an increasingly globalized environment, innovating within an organization to create added value and growth opportunities, and developing analytical and problem-solving skills to enhance organizational performance. The focus of the MBA program is on experienced-based education that prepares students for professional success in a rapidly changing global marketplace.

Structure of the Program
Built on Lubin's tradition of combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, the MBA curriculum focuses on integrated team-oriented approaches to contemporary business with an emphasis on globalization and technology. We break down the silos of a conventional MBA education and create an integrated approach to learning—a real-world education that reflects real-world situations. You'll start with a common core structured to emphasize today's greater connectedness across business fields. For instance, you'll take courses that combine marketing with electronic business, organizational behavior with leadership, and business strategy with stakeholder responsibility. The core covers business fundamentals and analytical skills and managerial breadth. Students can choose from a range of challenging Career Concentrations and the program is rounded out by Breadth Electives outside of their career concentration, which enable students to explore related interests. Team and experiential assignments involve students in practical application of theory. Critical business skills are developed early in the program and translate into new opportunities. For employed students, these skills often lead to greater job success long before graduation.

The MBA program has a residency requirement of a minimum of 39 credits in most of its career concentrations. All Lubin MBA students must be proficient in computing, business writing, and quantitative methods.

Objectives
The master of business administration degree is conferred on those men and women who successfully complete one of the programs offered. These programs have evolved over a period of years and reflect the increasing demand for professional education in private industry, government and the nonprofit sector.
