Overview
The scope of services rendered by certified public accountants is constantly broadening as business activities expand and become more complex. Since the affairs of all business must be financed, conducted, measured and monetarily controlled, the only limitations on expansion of the public accountant's services are the limits on expansion of business itself. Moreover, the recent spate of financial reporting problems has clearly shown that the financial health of our global capital markets is heavily dependent on transparent, comparable, and consistent financial information. Lubin's MBA in Accounting program prepares students to take on the broadening role of a CPA in this ever-changing business landscape.
Pace has one hundred years of experience in preparing students for successful accounting careers. The relevance and innovation of our programs has resulted in our being awarded the prestigious AACSB Accounting Accreditation, a distinction that only 167 schools across the nation share. AACSB, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, is the premier accrediting organization for business schools in the world. Pace is among the fewer than 3% of business schools nationwide that have both professional and accounting accreditation from AACSB.
Program and Courses
The MBA in Accounting for CPA preparation is a 53-72 credit program that has been designed for liberal arts, science, engineering, or general business administration degree holders who wishes to prepare for the CPA profession. You will be fully prepared to take the CPA exam upon graduation. It is not open to students with undergraduate degrees in accounting.
